Introducing RiverMode™, Our Signature Feature:
In still water, your body quickly creates an insulative layer of warm water around the skin—known as your thermal barrier—which reduces the intensity of the cold. RiverMode™ is engineered to eliminate that barrier by creating continuous water movement resulting in true immersion. The result is deeper full-body exposure, and a noticeably more effective cold experience.

Flow & Circulation

Standard RiverMode™: This model features a ¼ HP pump with a flow rate of 25.6 gallons per minute. Dual-Pump RiverMode™Plus not available for this model.

Iwaki America Pumps: BlueCube uses Iwaki America pumps featuring magnetically coupled centrifugal pump technology that is nearly silent and industry leading in power and energy efficiency. Chosen for their safety, efficiency, and reputation for extreme durability.

The C1 comes with a powerful 1.5 HP+ commercial chilling motor with precision Japanese compressors, delivering industry-leading cooling performance. Capable of cooling the water faster than any cold plunge tub in its class.

  • Temperature Range: 41°F – 104°F
  • 13,600 BTU (1.5 HP+)
  • Outdoor winter-rated, operates down to -5°F
  • Typical cooling at ~5ºF / hour

Electrical

  • Voltage: 120V
  • Amperage: 20A
  • Requirement: Standard dedicated outlet
  • Comes with GFCI power cord
  • Can be hardwired (pigtailed)
  • Any length chord

Plumbing

  • Pool and spa-grade 1”–1.5” Schedule 40 PVC — built for high pressure, high flow, temperature fluctuations, and long-term reliability.
  • Pipes are heavily insulated by hand
  • 20-Micron Filtration System: All of our cold plunge models feature a 20-micron filtration system. This ensures a hygienic cold therapy experience with minimal maintenance.
  • Ozone Automatic Sanitization: Uses ozone gas (O₃), a powerful oxidizer, to break down bacteria, viruses, and organic contaminants in the water without relying on added chemicals. Ozone is particularly effective for cold plunges because it acts over 3,000 times faster than chlorine and works better in cold water.

**AOP & chlorine drip available in other models.

For high-traffic and regulated environments, our Commercial Upgrade Package is built to elevate performance, streamline approvals, and support continuous use at scale. It’s a powerful add-on designed to give your system the flexibility, durability, and confidence needed for demanding commercial spaces.

This tub does NOT include a Commercial Upgrade Package.

Please see the C2 model which is a similar shape and can be fully upgraded.

What is the C1's temperature range — and does it include a heater?

41°F - 104°F. Yes, it comes with both a heater and chiller.

5°C – 40°C

To maximize heat transfer (your cold dose), all of our units come with RiverMode™. This makes the experience 2x (100%) more intense than other cold plunges and ice baths in the market, even ones that go to lower temperatures.

RiverMode™ not only maximizes the cold dose you experience, but it ensures your cold plunge stays clean. Companies that brag that their units produce ice have inadequate filtration. Ice does not filter nor ozonate. Skin cells, lipids, and bacteria stay on the ice. It is also an indication of overclocked components. Ice blocks intakes and can starve pumps of adequate flow.

The true measure of a cold plunge is chilling power and flow rate. No other brand has our robustness.

What are the C1's dimensions and clearance requirements?

C1 54"

Total Footprint (LWH): 88.5" x 37.5" x 28.5"

Tub Dimensions (LWH): 54" x 24" x 22"

C1 60"

Total Footprint (LWH): 92.5" x 37.5" x 28.5"

Tub Dimensions (LWH): 60" x 24" x 22"

C1 66"

Total Footprint (LWH): 96" x 37.5" x 28.5"

Tub Dimensions (LWH): 66" x 24" x 22"

The front vent of the BlueCube needs at least 18" of clearance for the chilling motor to exhaust.

This is the component end of the C1 (opposite from the stainless steel tub).

The side vent where you access the filter housing needs at least 18" of clearance.

Opposite of the filter access side can be 3-4 inches off the wall.

The entire backside of the C1 (where the tub is located opposite of the component compartment) can be flush against the wall.

Please reference the spec sheet or call / email sales@bluecubebaths.com for any clarification.

What are the electrical and plumbing requirements for the C1?

The C1 requires a dedicated 110/120 V, 20 amp circuit. Per NEC codes (national electrical codes), outlets for cold plunges must be dedicated.

The C1 comes with a Leviton GFCI self-test right-angle plug (20 amp, 115 V, automatic reset) in a NEMA 5-20P configuration — one horizontal prong. Make sure your outlet accepts a NEMA 5-20P plug.

No special plumbing is required — the tub fills with a standard hose and drains through the bottom drain valve.

How easy is C1 setup and how long does installation take?

The C1 comes fully assembled and is plug-and-plunge after being placed into position. It takes 10-15 minutes to fill the tub depending on your water pressure.

How is the C1 delivered?

The BlueCube arrives in a palletized crate, dropped off curbside. It comes fully assembled.

In order to unpack the BlueCube in a timely manner, you or your team will need screw guns. You can use a screw driver as well, it will just take longer.

We recommend four movers and moving dollies. The C1 is 28.5" in height and can be tilted on its side to pass through interior doors and narrow hallways.

What is the C1 made of?

BlueCube cold plunge tubs are made from:

- 316 14 gauge stainless steel (30% thicker stainless steel than competitors)

- Marine grade plywood frames, built in house by hand, maximum structural integrity

- Line-X® truck bed lining weatherproof spray

- 1.5" PVC plumbing for maximum flow and cleaning power

- BlueCube 1.5 HP chiller with app temperature control

- Spray foam insulated tub and cabinet for energy efficiency and thermal value

Does the C1 offer automated chlorine and pH balancing?

No, the C1 does not come with automated chlorine systems or pH balancing.

It is not upgradable to include this option.

For automated chlorine and pH balancing, please review our C2, C3, M and L models.

If you are interested in a custom size tub, you can review our custom BlueCube process here:

How much water does the C1 circulate, and how often is it filtered?

Constant circulation is at 18 GPM or 1080 GPH.

The entire tub is filtered and ozonated at 10 times per hour, or every 6 minutes.

How loud is the C1 when running?

The C1 is less than 60 decibels. Our Japanese magnetic-drive pumps are near silent. The chiller fan is on only during chilling, and turns off when it reaches temperature.
